1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using PocketSpend, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

PocketSpend is a personal budget tracking application that allows users to manually record income and expenses, set budgets, track goals, and manage finances. The app syncs your data to secure cloud storage (Supabase, EU-based servers) encrypted with AES-256.

3. User Accounts

PocketSpend syncs your financial data to your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by following the instructions at /delete-account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • PocketSpend offers a free tier, Starter subscription, and Premium subscription
  • Starter and Premium are available as monthly or annual subscriptions, processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
  • Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, but you may be eligible for a refund through Apple or Google's refund policies

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PocketSpend only for lawful personal finance tracking purposes. You may not use the app for any illegal activities or in violation of any applicable laws.

6. Intellectual Property

PocketSpend, its design, features, and content are owned by us and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our app without prior written consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • PocketSpend is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of calculations or reports
  • PocketSpend does not provide financial, tax, or investment advice
  • You are solely responsible for your financial decisions

8. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim

9. Data & Backups

  • Your data is securely synced to cloud storage (Supabase, EU-based servers)
  • You can export your data using the in-app export feature
  • You can delete your account and all data at any time via Settings
  • We are not responsible for data loss due to user error or any other cause beyond our control

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify the app's features, pricing, or these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using PocketSpend at any time by deleting the app. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the premium features for any violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
